What is ZeoActiv8?
ZeoActive 8™ is a highly concentrated preparation of Australian clinoptilolite zeolite in a base of pure distilled water™ and glycerine. It has been prepared by an Australian developed sub-micronisation process for the express purpose of use as a formulation aid for health and nutritional supplements. The special “carry and release” characteristics of this form of zeolite are enhanced by submicronisation in that the zeolite is solubulised and hence becomes more bioavailable and more readily combined into supplement and health formulations.
Being in liquid form it combines more readily with natural formulations developed by medical and health practitioners for patient specifi c use. The liquid formulation ensures the body is not overloaded by ingredients requiring digestion and metabolism. The submicronised, water-soluble availability of this natural molecular purifi cation carrier enhances formulations by helping to carry and distribute key ingredients to their intended targets. A natural balance is created in pH and mineral status to help create an environment whereby the body can utilize the targeted health and nutritional ingredients to derive maximum benefi t. Simply put, ZeoActiv8™ helps nutritional and health supplements reach their maximum potential.
What is Zeolite?
Zeolites are hydrated aluminosilicate mineral combinations which have a unique “open” microporous molecular structure often described as a honeycomb. There are many forms of zeolite. In fact there are 48 naturally occurring zeolites known and more than 150 synthesized zeolite types.
Natural zeolites form where volcanic ash layers react with alkaline groundwater. Typically zeolite crystals are found in shallow, saline marine basins that have formed over periods of millions of years. The slow leaching of chemicals over time through mineral water create this family of microporous solids that act as molecular sieves which are natural chelators, having the ability to be used as tools for cation exchange. Natural zeolites have the advantage over synthetic zeolites of having superior crystalline structures with “pores” or “cages” of dimensions suitable for many varied purposes. The carrying dimensions of the “cages” increase with time and purity of the surrounding environment.
Agriculture. As a slow release agent for fertilizer ingredients and water retention in the soil.
Animal Welfare. To improve feed conversions and dramatically reduce ammonia emissions into the air.
Nuclear Waste Reprocessing. To encapsulate waste fi ssion materials for safer disposal.
The Australian zeolite used to prepare ZeoActiv8™ is known by the mineral name Clinoptilolite. – a hydrated sodium potassium calcium aluminium silicate ((Na, K, Ca)2 – 3 Al3(Al, Si)2Si13O36-12H2O). It is one of the more useful natural zeolites and is the preferred choice for use where purifi cation, separation and distribution of minerals and other contaminants is the key use. For example, in agriculture, clinoptilolite is used as a soil treatment as it provides a source of slowly released potassium, The zeolite is loaded with the required nutrients and absorbs up to 55% of its weight in water, slowly releasing the solubulised minerals according to plant demand. Another major use for Clinoptilolite is as an additive to feed for cows, pigs, horses and chickens. It absorbs toxins in the feed that are created by molds and microscopic parasites and enhances food absorption by these animals. Similar uses in human foods and supplements are currently being researched. Clinoptilolite can easily absorb ammonia and other toxic gases from air and water and thus can be used in fi lters, both for health reasons and for odor removal.
Clinoptilolite is well suited for these applications due to its large amount of pore space, high resistance to extreme temperatures and chemically neutral basic structure. Research studies have shown Australian Clinoptilolite Zeolite to be denser and substantially better in purity aspects having come from a naturally pristine deposit 300 million years old. There are few geographical sites worldwide that can claim to be so free of contamination by airborne and water pollutants. The denser structure, is created by a more uniform lattice with a more defi ned ability to pick up certain cations. Once milled, Australian Zeolite has a smoother, harder fi nish with uniformly sized pores, which prove to be more effi cient in their purpose.
Clinoptilolite is recognized as being ‘non hazardous’ and does not require any special handling instructions.
How is ZeoActiv8™ used?
ZeoActive 8™ is best used in suspension with a water base for the formulation of specifi c nutritional and health supplements. Medical and health practitioners who develop formulations to target the specifi c needs of a patient, want to make sure that those ingredients achieve their maximum potential. In order to do this they need to be made bioavailable – available to the body. This means they need to be distributed to the parts of the body where they are required to be absorbed and metabolised so the body can utilise them effi ciently. Just like you add a petrol additive to your engine to help your car use petrol more effi ciently, ZeoActiv8™ is the effi ciency additive for your nutritional and health supplements.
Because the zeolite form used in ZeoActiv8™ has high water absorption characteristics, it is important that any formulations using ZeoActiv8™ are accompanied with directions to consume plentiful amounts of water – up to 2-3 litres daily.
As yet there is no recognized scientific evidence to prove this. However taken in low to moderate dosage levels and complemented by a balanced diet with dietary vitamin and mineral supplements risks are thought to be negligible. Zeolite as a chelating agent has the ability to carry in beneficial ingredients whilst carrying away harmful others.
It is an important point to note however, that zeolite is actually a crystalline mineral itself, so it does not capture other minerals with the same negative charge, only the opposite positive (+)charge. Also, most minerals like calcium, magnesium etc, are way too large to fit inside the angstrom sized honeycomb cages of zeolite and therefore are not taken up by the zeolite.
Without actual recognised clinical and medical proof just yet, we believe that zeolites can extract harmful toxins from the body that impair the natural immune system
If I take ZeoActiv8 what should I notice?
You should experience a better balance in pH levels throughout the body which will then allow your natural immune system to work harder and better for you. In the case where ZeoActive8 is prescribed or recommended by your Medical Practitioner as an adjunct aid to treat a specific health care issue the chelating effects of ZeoActiv8 combined with it’s ability to speed medications to designated parts of the body may have a noticeable effect in efficacy and symptom relief.
Given that we have all had relatively different exposures to varying levels of toxins from food and the environment, there is a wide variety of responses from people who take ZeoActiv8 for reasons ranging from specific ailments to general beneficial health and well-being concerns.
If I take ZeoActiv8 to restore or maintain health, do I need to do anything else?
ZeoActiv8 is NOT a magic bullet by itself. It has no beneficial Antioxidant or Mineral claims to make as an ingredient. Used by itself it will work as an effective chelating agent only, therefore helping to restore pH balances to assist the natural immune system. Taken in conjunction with medications, vitamins and mineral supplements it will have a much more beneficial effect in delivering these antioxidant or mineral boosters that your system may be requiring. So, YES! If your daily dietary intake of food essentials is lacking, do take a supplement . If by prescription seek your Medical Practitioner’s advice on what sort of supplement you should be taking
If Zeolite is so effective as a Chelating Agent, why has it not been discovered before now?
Actually zeolite has been used for centuries in various forms, a specific instance was in China where 800 years ago it was regularly used by women wanting to ‘cleanse; before falling pregnant. There is lots of anecdotal evidence like this but it was not till last century that zeolite took on real acclaim in industrial usages to more effectively assist us with a cleaner environment. The wide ranging benefits zeolites’ have been put to tests in animal husbandry, agriculture, water purification and even Nuclear Waste Reprocessing. It has only been in the last few years though that zeolite has been considered for medicinal, health and well-being purposes.
You said that you sub-micronise zeolite? Is ZeoActiv8 made up of nano particles and if so, what benefits do they offer?
Yes we do sub-micronise zeolite as we have observed that a smaller particle size has a greater absorption potential and a higher cation exchange potential. The zeolite becomes more efficacious in purpose and delivery of claims and promises.
For example: if you were to have a deck of playing cards on a small table, the pack would not take up very much space at all, however, if you were to spread the cards out around the table, the table’s surface area could be completely covered in cards.
ZeoActiv8 is processed to have t sub-micron particles which allows us we expose vastly more of the angstrom sized, honeycomb shaped structures that zeolites are made up of, much like the playing cards on the table. These particles are many times more effective, stay within the intestinal tract, and pass out of the body in natural processes efficiently.
However, we continue to undergo rigorous experimentation and nano sized particles is one of the major focuses of our research team.
Tell Me More About Other Uses For Zeolite
Zeolites in industry have wide and varied uses, perhaps the largest consumer of zeolites is the petrochemical industry as zeolite is used as a catalytic cracker. Zeolite catalysts save the petrochemical industry billions of dollars per year as well as dramatically reducing carbon dioxide emission etc. (A catalyst, in being something that speeds up a reaction, usually without causing any apparent harm to the host substance).
Swimming pools are a huge consumer of zeolite filters to capture toxins such as ammonia within the pump’s return cycle.
Agriculture use zeolites to increase food harvests by adding to the soil. The zeolite holds mineral nutrients and much of its own weight in water, this slow releases to botanical root systems when it is most needed as well as providing the cation exchange in release of fertilisers for the electrical stimulation of root assimilation.
Animal feeders use zeolites for numerous reasons including strengthening the skeletal system of racehorses.
NASA use zeolites for growing foods in space. Hydroponically, as this method massively out-performs soils etc. NASA also use zeolites to protect delicate components from possible corrosive gasses that could cause a malfunction in space etc.
EPA of America use zeolites to absorb emissions from the end of road tunnels to capture toxic carbon monoxides and benzenes etc, this acts as a catalyst to converting gasses back to oxygen more rapidly.
Nuclear waste industries use zeolites to contain spills and contaminated waste.
On an another domestic level, zeolites are used as kitty litter as they are a super moisture and odour absorber.
Was Zeolite Used In The Chernoble Nuclear Reactor Disaster As A De-Contimating Agent?
Yes! It was dumped via helicopter over the immediate area to absorb radiated pollutants Then scooped up and transferred elsewhere for disposal.
Several hundred million tons of zeolite are used each year to make detergents better,to wash our clothes. Zeolites break down the surface tension of the water, to the effect that it makes the water wetter. Zeolite replaces the need to use tripolyphosphates in detergents.
Does ZeoActive8 reduce the cravings for tobacco intake?
There has been no recognised clinical trials conducted on these claims, yet some comments and questions from customers in reduction of their cravings for tobacco have been received. We wish them well on reduced cravings but cannot assist with actual clinical data. We can only comment on the chelating benefits ZeoAvtiv8 may offer smokers in reducing possible toxin levels, especially when taken with recognised antioxidants and mineral supplements.
“I am a Naturopath, and I have been very interested in heavy metal detoxification for many years now and have observed a mammoth increase in the amount of mercury and lead in the urine tests of patients over the last few years”.
Naturopaths are very interested and concerned world-wide with these very test questions and results from tests. We are now formulating a unique formulation to meet your needs as a professional, those also of your clients. This will be an advanced and unique formulation and available readily, not just via Medical Practitioners.
How I can prove the effectiveness of ZeoActiv8 to my patients?
From recent tests, before and after stool sample are best indicators after a day or so of taking ZeoActiv8. Check for heavy metals including lead and mercury. Urine samples may not reveal to you real toxic levels within the body. A hair sample before and after taken at shaft level may help you with evidence. Signs that ZeoActive8 is working:
- Stool colour may change, also consistency
- Also urinations will increase with recommended increase in water intake.
What would happen to me if I took too much ZeoActiv8 at one time?
For most people there are no side effects. This is a safe chelation product. If you have discomfort, firstly you may notice that you could become quite thirsty. Drink more water, more than you normally would and up to 3-5 or more litres per day, pending your daily dosage of ZeoActiv8. We suggest to start slowly on ZeActiv8, try only a few drops at first and increase the serving gradually depending on how you feel, or in accordance with professional medical advice.
Please note, chelation processes have a large and varying affect on different individuals, if you have any concerns we recommend that you consult your Doctor or Health Care Professional. If other health concerns arise due to chelation processes please discontinue use immediately of ZeoActiv8 and also consult you medical advisor.
If Clinoptilolite Zeolite is such a super absorbent, even to air-borne toxins, would Zeolite from the source not also contain contaminants?
It is believed that there are no contaminants harmful to humans. However the Australian Zeolite used in ZeoActiv8, while being from a rare pristine source, is free from most contaminants though will have some natural impurities found in all natural zeolite.. It is from a very rare and pure site, away from power stations, manufacturing companies, crop growing areas that may use herbicides. There is also no nuclear testing in the area which eliminates radioactive contamination
Does your company ensure that ZeoActiv8 is a pure product?
Not only do we only use our clinoptilolite zeolite from a pristine source in Australia, we also undergo an extensive and elaborate series of washing, cleansing, purifying and sterilizing to ensure that you receive the purest form with the highest functional ability. ZeoActiv8 is produced to full GMP standards in Government approved premises using the highest quality equipment. It is approve in Australia as ‘non hazardous’ and newly hosted in the USA on the GRAS equivalalents list.
What is the difference between Clinoptilolite Zeolite and other Zeolites, how many zeolites are there?
There are 48 naturally forming zeolites. There are also many forms of synthetic zeolites manufactured for different specific purposes in industry. Natural forming Clinopotilite however is being now researched as one of the best facilitators in the newer fields of medical advancements. Negatively charged, it has he ability to carry good ingredients into the body, and at the same time carry away harmful other negatively charged ingredients. It seems now that clinoptilolite has the highest cation exchange and therefore it has the highest functional ability for newly interested medical purposes and concerns.
Can I buy a Better Zeolite Formulation?
In our opinion, No. We take control measures to ensure purity of substance and formulation in all formats from source to final manufacture in quality controlled laboratories. We do not ‘off sell’ formulations to other companies in weaker or varied formulations.
Are there any drawbacks or side effects?
Not usually. There maybe thirst. But if you do have underlying infections that have not have not been professionally addressed this may worsen as the chelating effect goes into action. Tooth and gum conditions may be affected here, as some others. Consult your Medical Practitioner id symptoms arise and cease your course of ZeoActiv8 in the interim period.
Can children take ZeoActiv8?
Our children live in the same toxic world that we do. ZeoActiv8 is safe for children. If for specific conditional reasons consult your Medical Practitioner.
Can ZeoActiv8 safely be taken by pregnant or nursing women?
We believe yes as it is non toxic, non harmful.
How long does ZeoActiv8 remain in the body?
Only as long as the normal intake of food and digestion process takes. Then passes out naturally with waste products.
Can I take too much ZeoActiv8?
ZeoActiv8 is non-toxic and has no side effects for most people documented. It is wise to keep dosage levels low unless advised for higher dosages from your Medical Practitioner. In some cases where a ‘detox’ program has been undertaken, people with underlying dental or gum problems may experience discomfort and so should cease ZeoActive8 and seek professional dental advice before recommencing their ZeoActiv8 programme.
Should ZeoActiv8 be taken with food or on an empty stomach?
It appears to work just as efficiently either way. However, it is best taken in an eight-ounce glass of water to help insure adequate hydration throughout the day. Remember to increase water intake during the day – up to 8 standard glasses. It is best not to take in coffee, as coffee will dehydrate the body. Why is detoxification of my body important?
The average person is exposed to more toxins through water and air pollution, household cleaning supplies, pesticides, disinfectants, and food additives. Ever According to the EPA, 70,000 chemicals are used commercially in the U.S., 65,000 of which are potentially hazardous to our health. The Environmental Defense Council reports that more than four billion pounds of toxic chemicals are released into the environment each year, including 72 million pounds of known carcinogens. These toxins are strongly correlated with the occurrence of a wide range of diseases, including cancers, birth defects, and neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s, autism, and dementia. In the world we live in today, detoxification is essential to prevent disease and create optimal health.
What kinds of toxins are in our bodies?
PCBs, dioxins, phthalates, DDT, and furans are just some of the chemicals that are commonly found in human tissue and blood. A 2003 study by Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, Commonweal, and the Environmental Working Group identified a total of 167 hazardous compounds in the blood and urine of American adults (with an average of 91 per person tested), including 76 known to cause cancer, 94 that are toxic to the nervous system, 82 that damage the lungs, 86 that affect hormone function, and 79 that cause birth defects. Included among these compounds were highly toxic heavy metals such as lead, aluminium, and mercury, and numerous herbicides and pesticides. A similar study the following year by the Environmental Working Group found 287 industrial chemicals in babies’ umbilical-cord blood – with an average of 200 chemicals in each newborn tested – including 180 known to cause cancer and 217 that are toxic to the brain and nervous system. These tests are part of a new field of scientific study known as body burden analysis, and the findings are truly frightening. The October 2006 issue of National Geographic magazine has full details of toxins in our homes.
How does ZeoActiv8 differ from classic chelators that may pull heavy metals and toxins out of the body?
Some Classic chelating agents are non-specific in terms of what they attract. For example, one commonly used chelator attracts anything that has a +2 charge. Thus, it takes lead out of the body but also eliminates calcium and magnesium, necessitating supplementation. ZeoActiv8’s negatively charged zeolite cage attracts minerals and toxins that have a positive charge, but its attraction is also based on molecular structure and size as well as other factors. Therefore, it attracts and eliminates lead but not calcium or magnesium. ZeoActiv8’s effect on the body is milder than that of classic chelators. ZeoActiv8 removes toxins by placing the ions in the zeolite’s molecular cage. It effectively inactivates the toxins’ ions, preventing them from further reacting with the body as they are being expelled. (That reactivity is common with other chelators and is popularly called a detox syndrome or healing crisis.) The heavy metals and other toxins bound up by ZeoActiv8 are unable to do any damage to the kidneys or bladder in the process of being eliminated. The only consequential reaction that ZeoActiv8 is documented to cause is slight dehydration, which is easily prevented or remedied by drinking plenty of water throughout the day.
Finally, ‘detoxifying’ or cleansing with ZeoActiv8 is much less expensive than using classic chelating agents. Traditional chelation is done in a series of intravenous treatments. Just one of these sessions can cost more than ten weeks of a ZeoActiv8 course at a substantial prescribed dosage.
How can ZeoActiv8 remove toxic metals such as lead and mercury but not healthy ones such as calcium and magnesium?
Zeolite’s ability to attract and bind different substances is based on the size, shape, and electrical configuration of its molecular cages. Zeolite’s greatest affinity is thought to be with heavy metals, especially mercury, cadmium, lead, and arsenic. Lighter metals such as calcium, magnesium, and phosphorous have smaller ions, and so their affinity to zeolite’s negative charge in order of magnitude is much less. Zeolite will leave minerals such as Calcium,Magnesium and phosphorous at their very best performance levels within the body.
Does it remove toxins that are not positively charged?
No, most heavy metals are positively charged, some other dangerous toxins. Further tests are being conducted, but world-wide concern just now is concentrating focuses on heavv metals and other toxins that may have a positive charge in relation the negative charge of zeolite.
Since ZeoActiv8 removes foreign metal ions from the body, can it attack dental fillings, hip replacements, or breast implants?
The mechanism by which ZeoActiv8 removes unwelcome pollutants from the body is entirely passive. There is no evidence (or reported cases that we know about) that causes zeolite to be a risk element in any medical procedure.
Is ZeoActiv8 a supplement or a drug?
It is neither. ZeoActiv8 is sold as a Prescription only aid for Medical Practitioners in Australia to help in medical prescriptions.
Can ZeoActiv8 cure cancer?
No one can make that claim- even with testimonials which we have.
ZeoActiv8 is not approved as a drug or substance, and so no claim can be made that it cures, treats, or prevents cancer or any other disease. It would be illegal to do so as well as irresponsible on the basis of the small studies that have been done to date. More trials are being conducted and we hope to be able to make some accredited claims available to you in the future. These may not be on cancer specifically, but somewhat related issues to help immune systems.
Does ZeoActiv8 kill viruses?
No. It will though promote a healthy immune system and act as more direct delivery system for optimum absorption of antibiotics for a speedy recovery.
Why is it important to maintain proper pH balance?
Because bacteria, fungi, yeast, and virusesas well as diseases such as cancer – thrive in an acidic environment, acidic pH levels of 6.9 and below are conducive to disease. The optimum pH of your body should be slightly alkaline – between 7.35 and 7.45 – which is the level that ZeoActiv8 tends to establish.
Zeolite contains Alunima. Could this potentially be harmful?
No. The aluminium content as we see it is very strongly bonded into the cage-like structure of the zeolite, and so is unavailable biologically. The aluminium content is believed to bonded and non exchangeable . We are doing clinical trials on this very issue now.
Does ZeoActiv8 affect liver function?
By reducing the body’s toxic load, any reduction in pollutants would be helpful to liver functions. It is what chelation is all about.
